Friends of Freeways Need 'You'

Friends of Freeways is a registered Charity established in 1995. A group of parents and relatives set up a group 'to provide mutual support for each other and to provide funds to supplement extra amenities for residents', particularly those which could not be expected to be provided for by the parent body, 'Freeways'.

Over the years many thousands of pounds have been given to residents. Garden furniture, meals out, trips to the zoo and computer equipment are amongst those things which the money, traditionally distributed at Christmas time, has been spent on. There have also been several comedy shows at Leigh Court and a trip to the pantomime.

We cordially invite you to join us. Membership is open to any person over the age of 18, who is interested in furthering these objectives. Whilst most of our members are relatives of a resident there are a number who are not.
Membership forms are available in the link below. The annual subscription is £20.00.

We recognise and understand that having a relative with a learning disability can sometimes feel like an isolating experience but combined with the excellent care and support provided by Freeways and the mutual support offered by 'the Friends' we can tackle the issues together and perhaps have a bit of fun along the way. Please join us. You can be assured of a warm welcome.

Please complete the below Membership and Gift Aid Declaration forms and return them to the Membership Secretary. If you prefer to pay by standing order we can send you a form to send to your bank. We look forward to hearing from you at friendsoffreeways@gmail.com.
