- Care or health sector experience (including psychology/psychiatry)

Location: Based at our Keynsham office with travel across the area required

Salary: £27,395 full time (pro rata if part time)

Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or Part-time (from 15 to 30 hours)

The service support adults with learning disabilities to enable them to live their best lives. The staff teams are flexible and supportive of each other as well as offering an excellent service to the people they support.

As one of our support workers you would be supporting the activities that everyone enjoys as well as caring for those with less mobility and understanding. The rota is flexible and does include evenings and weekends and we can work with you to take into consideration a healthy and happy work/life balance. An anti-social enhancement is provided to those who work evenings and weekends and an excellent rate for sleeping in.

All training is provided within your first six months of employment. After this there is the opportunity to work towards your Diploma 3 in Health and Social Care.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing team as we set up a new purpose built supported living service in north Bristol. The service will be a part of our PBS team at Freeways who support adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, Autism and behaviours that challenge.

Physiotherapist

Freeways Hydrotherapy Pool are looking to recruit a qualified Physiotherapist to work at our hydrotherapy pool team and land clinic located in beautiful Leigh Woods just outside of Bristol.

Who are we looking for?

In this exciting and varied role you will be responsible for assessing and delivering treatments to a range of private clients along with those who receive funding from the NHS charitable organisations and privately funded. You will also use your knowledge and expertise to provide advice and guidance to our Hydrotherapy Pool Assistants. Recent experience within the past at band 5+ or evidence of relevant experience of one of more of; Neurology, Musculoskeletal, older people, people with disabilities and paediatrics.

Significant experience (2 years +) working with clients on land is essential for the role with additional experience of treating clients in a Hydrotherapy Pool being desirable.

Applicants should be qualified physiotherapists and will need to be registered with the HCPC and CSP.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join one of our residential homes in Yate, where you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to our residents.   The home provides residential care for up to 16 people in purpose-built, accessible accommodation in the centre of town.

The Assistant Manager will assist the Manager to:

• Ensure that appropriate support is provided to individuals in line with agreed support plans, taking in to account their independence, choice and dignity.
• Oversee the preparation and organising of assessments, reviews, PCPs and taking a lead role in these meetings.
• Ensure the rights of the people we support are promoted and respected at all times in compliance with the Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act, the Care Act and Deprivation of Liberty guidelines and Freeways Policies and Procedures.
• Support your service in celebrating and promoting its successes and the achievements of the people you support.
• Ensure compliance with CQC, local authority and safeguarding requirements and processes.
• Providing reports on support of service users and ensuring key processes/procedures are followed through personally or by others in the service.
• Assist the manager in staff development through supervision, appraisal, coaching and staff induction, leading on identifying training needs and arranging as required.
• Have a clear understanding of all aspects of rota management and allocating duties.
• Support staff wellbeing and share concerns as appropriate. 
• Ensure effective staff performance management in line with Freeways policies and procedures (recruitment, probation, supervision, learning and development, conduct, attendance etc.)
• Assist in the effective management of the service according to Freeways regulations, policies and procedures, in particular Health and Safety at Work and Fire Regulations.
