You will apply the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to enable K to flourish in her own home, develop her independence, learn new skills, live a good quality of life and have fun! PBS involves changing situations and events that people experience to increase their quality of life, and in doing so, decrease the likelihood that challenging behaviours will occur.
You will be supported by and working with a friendly and pro-active team and full training is provided as well as ongoing support from our PBS lead practitioner. The service is located close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge on a local bus route and is in a beautiful location.

As a Bank Support Worker you will be working with and supported by an experienced team and will be covering our Residential, Supported Living and Community Support Services across North Somerset. You will be working various shifts covering holidays, sickness and additional cover shifts to ensure our services are fully staffed, therefore flexibility is key in this role.

Provide support to people who live within supported living/family or residential homes.

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen within Freeways. We are recruiting two new Team Leaders to work alongside the Service Manager and Assistant Manager in a Supported Living service in Bristol.  Providing supervision, support and assistance with the running of the service. This position will enable you to gain experience and build up your confidence, skills and competence in care management.

The Team Leader will assist the Manager and support staff:

• with the effective management of the service according to Freeways regulations, policies and procedures, in particular Health and Safety at Work.
• to ensure that appropriate support is provided to individuals in line with agreed support plans, taking in to account their independence, choice and dignity.
• to assist in the preparation and organising of assessments, reviews, PCPs and actively participating in these meetings.
• with their development through supervision, staff induction, identifying training needs and arranging as required.
• to support your service in celebrating its successes and the achievements of the people you support.

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Freeways as a Night Wake to provide wakeful night duty support at our Worle service.

Responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out regular checks on residents/tenants as necessary with due regard to residents privacy.
• Security and fire prevention checks
• Dealing with any emergency with residents during the night and dealing with it appropriately and according to agreed procedures
• To be knowledgeable of all residents’/tenants’ needs and understand how to deal with all eventualities
• To assist when residents are getting up and maintain the morning routine with day staff
• To write a brief report regarding any issues at night
• Undertake domestic duties, such as laundry and ironing, food preparation, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and communal areas as required.
