We have an exciting opportunity to for a Finance Administrator to join our team based at our Head Office in Abbots Leigh. This key role is responsible for supporting the sales ledger function for both Freeways and Freeways Trust.
You will be responsible for ensuring that sales invoices are raised and settled in accordance with appropriate timescales for an agreed set of customer accounts.
This is a hybrid working role and requires the successful candidate to be based in the office for a minimum of 60% of their working time to provide effective delivery of invoices and day-to-day support to the team and wider charity. Ample free parking is available on site.
As part of our Finance Team, you will:
· ensure the timely production of regular and ad-hoc invoices on a monthly basis for an agreed set of customer accounts
· oversee the maintenance of customer records to ensure they are kept up-to-date and accurate
· reconcile customer accounts monthly and complete credit control duties to ensure all accounts are settled within our terms
· carry out month-end sales ledger processes to ensure that month-end reports are produced, authorised and filed
· carry out internal financial monitoring visits in our services and prepare reports to management on findings
· assist in the preparation of regular petty cash reconciliations and prepare information for bank runs
· contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and reporting
About You
You will be an experienced finance administrator with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and exemplary attention to detail. You are motivated by deadlines and can meticulously plan your time, demonstrating good administration and organisation skills. Experience within the charity or public sector is desirable.
