The rota is flexible and does include evenings and weekends and we can work with you to take into consideration a healthy and happy work/life balance. All training is provided within your first six months of employment. After this there is the opportunity to work towards your Diploma 3 in Health and Social Care.

Things we would expect you to do during a day:

· Personal care for individuals

About the Service

Miller Farm is looking for caring, motivated people to join it’s team of bank support workers in Worle. If you’re passionate about helping others live fulfilling, independent lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Miller Farm is home to 10 individuals aged between 50 and 90 who have learning disabilities or a dual diagnosis. Individuals have varied abilities and needs, some people have physical health needs, communication difficulties or may present with a level of complex needs.

We believe in a person centred approach that focuses on each individual’s unique goals and abilities to promote independence and enhance wellbeing. We are focused on creating an environment where people are happy to live and lead fulfilling lives.

Individuals require support with day-to-day living skills to help build their independence, structured routines and meaningful engagement. Full training is provided to staff to ensure active support is delivered in line with the people we support needs and preferences.

About the Role

As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll be empowering adults with learning disabilities and other support needs to live with dignity, choice and independence. Every day will be different, and you’ll play a key role in helping people shape their own lives and experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Supporting individuals based on their personal needs, including learning disabilities, physical health or mental health

· Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support

· Assisting with personal care, domestic tasks including cooking and cleaning and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment

· Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying people to routine appointments or administrating medication

· Keeping accurate electronic records and contributing to personalised care and support plans

· Communicating effectively and respectfully with service users, families and external professionals

· Working in line with Freeways’ values, policies and procedures

Whilst this is a zero hours contract, flexibility and availability is key in this role; it requires people who are able to cover regular bank shifts, including weekends. Shifts can include early, late or cross over shifts, as well as sleep in and waking night cover.

You will also be required to undertake the full Freeways training programme which is a combination of on-line, in-house and classroom learning (typically 5-7 days for classroom courses), to be completed within 6 months.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our PBS team at Freeways who support adults with complex needs and learning disabilities who communicate through their behaviour in Bristol.

You will support individuals to continue to develop their independence, build new skills, access the community, increase their socialising and to go on occasional holidays and trips. You will be supported by and working with a friendly and pro-active team. The services are located close to several local bus routes.

Positive Behaviour Support Assistants will identify the needs of the individuals we support, who communicate their needs through behaviours by working in a person centred way and finding positive and healthy means of fulfilling those needs.

Responsibilities:

· To provide support to our tenants, promoting individuality, identity, rights, choice, privacy, independence, dignity and respect through informed choice.

· To respond to the particular needs of the people we support in relation to the nature of their support needs (including mental or physical health).

About the Role
Freeways is looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR Administrator to be a key part of our HR team.  This role is key to our success by acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries across Freeways and providing administrative support for all processes throughout the employee life-cycle. Your specific responsibilities will include:

• HR administrative processes, such as starters, leavers, contractual changes, timesheet processing, training, recruitment and HR database management.
• Acting as first point of contact for general HR queries, including incoming emails/calls both internal and external, and liaising with employees, candidates, trainers and other third parties. 
• Recruitment compliance; processing pre-employment checks such as right to work and DBS.
• Assisting with reporting on management information, such as absence, turnover, recruitment, employee relations, training and development.
• Contributing to and supporting the general work of the HR team.
• Ensuring confidentiality and data protection of staff information.
• Maintaining compliance with relevant employment legislation. 
• Supporting HR projects and initiatives.   
• Provide reception cover and support with general head office administrative tasks as required.  Including: managing shared email inboxes, room bookings, greeting visitors, admin support for training and conferences. 
• Act as Fire Warden or Marshall as required and support completion of fire checks and drills.
